I always stop here when I come to half moon bay! Without a doubt one of my favorite sandwich spots, the wheat bread is the best. As a guy who is often disappointed with portion sizes at restaurants, a full sandwich and chips from here is a good-sized meal. There's usually a decent line but it's worth it. Highly recommended!

The Garden Deli Cafe on Main Street in Half Moon Bay has been a locals favorite for years. The sandwiches made on house baked bread are award winning, the Olive Walnut is my favorite. Arrive early to avoid waiting in a line that is often out on the door. On a sunny coastal afternoon have lunch on the deck with live music. .

We have been coming here for years and we love them! Today finally getting around to writing a review. The line moves quick, the process is efficient and the staff is so friendly! I do miss the old lady at the counter tho! Their sandwiches are always stuffed full and fill you up even with a half! Their fresh baked bread is so special and even if you swipe a loaf for home it will still bring you the same amount of happiness when you bite into it. They have ample outdoor seating and today because it's raining, we sat inside! Never a disappointing Sammie from here! Today I also got the oatmeal cookie and it's is jam packed with flavor and is literally fall and Christmas in a cookie! Love it! Of course, we will be back! Oh bonus!-Friday and Saturdays they have marbled rye now!

Thank you rain. I was nearby so i called if they can sell me a loaf of olive walnut bread and at first they said no, but the manager in the background said yes. WooHoo. I'm supposed to order one day in advance, but it is hard to know when I'm near Half Moon Bay. Hwy 92 was empty. Raining hard. No one walking around. 11:30 am. Got there, place was empty and i got my warm bread. $16. I was told leave it out and not put in plastic bag to allow it to cool. About 2 hours later, got home and ate this amazing crunchy crust, hearty bread with lots of walnuts. Inside was spongy like and soft. Dipped it with good olive oil. I'm in heaven. They have other breads that don't require advance ordering. They are just as good. I was eyeing on a slice if key lime pie, $6. And chocolate cream pie that looks like costco pie. Of course, they are known for their sandwiches.
